Ambassadors and Influencers play a vital role in maintaining the sustainability of The Corrections Way. Ambassadors are TCW subject matter experts on a local level (i.e., P&P Office/District/Region, DAI Institution), but are able to expand their areas to other offices, districts, or institutions when/if the need arises. An influencer is defined as someone who possesses the ability to influence others because of their authority, knowledge, position, or relationship with their audience whether it’s a co-worker, colleague, friend, family member, etc. In addition, an ambassador/influencer is someone who displays the following characteristics: 1) Authentic optimism for TCW; 2) Creative and can think outside the box; 3) Has courage to step outside their comfort zone; 4) Shows enthusiasm when trying new initiatives; 5) Open-minded when trying new initiatives; 6) Has compassion for team members; 7) Is ambitious to get the job done; 8) Respectful towards other points of view; 9) Can communicate well with all team members; 10) Is flexible in times of change; 11) Supportive of all TCW initiatives; 12) Is dependable and follows through on team goals; and 13) Is goal-oriented and is continuously building and improving knowledge and skills to mentor and coach others.
